Our restaurant
Our "Piana" restaurant, located on Deck 9, is open every evening until 9:30pm. Here, you can enjoy dishes inspired by specialities from the Island of Beauty, concocted by our chefs.
To accompany your meal, we've selected Corsican wines reputed for their quality and their endemic varieties of grape.
Our self-service restaurant
Our "Palombaggia" self-service restaurant is right next to our restaurant. It welcomes you from 7pm until 10:30pm during your Marseille-Ajaccio crossing.
Here, you can delight in a wide array of healthy, tasty dishes, salads and sandwiches.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served in the self-service restaurant an hour before arriving in Ajaccio or Marseille. A buffet comprising pastries, bread, butter, Corsican jam, fresh fruit salad, coffee, tea and hot chocolate awaits you to get the day off to a good start.
And, if you're in a rush, our "Figuier" bar proposes an "express option". This light breakfast included a hot drink, fruit juice and a pastry. A great vitamin boost before stepping onto the Island of Beauty or the continent!
Family
To ensure your children have fun and get exercise on the ferry to Corsica, a play area is located in our "Figuier" bar.
Entertainment
Piana has everything it takes to ensure your stay on-board the ship to Corsica is enjoyable, whatever you desire.
You're invited every evening at 9pm for a free cinema screening. Go alone, with friends or family to Deck 9 and enjoy a film!
You can also watch the TV in your cabin. It broadcasts French national channels and Canal +.
Our "Figuier" bar welcomes you on Deck 9 until 11pm.
Accessibility
Piana boasts cabins suitable for people with reduced mobility (PRM). If you wish to make use of one, contact our sales department at least 48 hours before leaving for Ajaccio or Marseille or at the time of booking your ferry ticket.
Lifts and an escalator make moving around the ship easier.
Outdoor spaces
Our terrace, overlooking the Mediterranean, on Deck 10, is the perfect place to get a great breath of sea air all year round.
So, take time out and relax during your Marseille-Ajaccio crossing!
Luggage
If you board the ferry to Corsica with your vehicle, you won't be able to access it during the crossing. Remember to take everything you need for the night (warm clothes, toiletries, books, medicines, etc.).
For passengers who've booked armchairs, individual luggage lockers are available in the lounge.
Pets
For reasons of hygiene and security, pets cannot travel in-cabin and are formally forbidden in all passenger areas.
If you're heading for Corsica with a dog or a cat, you can book a place in our air-conditioned kennel. You'll need a one euro coin for the deposit, a bowl with water, another for your pet's food and a carrier if your pet is small-sized.

Carbon footprint
The carbon footprint is an indicator designed to measure the impact of an activity on the environment, and more specifically the greenhouse gas emissions associated with that activity.
This footprint is expressed in "carbon dioxide equivalent" or "CO2e". For the sake of simplicity and standardisation, a single CO2 standard is used for all greenhouse gases.
The data below will enable you to assess the CO2e emissions linked to your crossing on the ship concerned. They are calculated on the basis of consumption and loadings (freight and passengers) during the previous year.
Our cabins can accommodate up to 4 people. They're equipped with adjustable air-conditioning, a shower room with toilet and a TV to ensure you enjoy maximum comfort during your trip between Marseille and Ajaccio. A cosy quilt and bath linen are also provided.
La Méridionale offers you two bottles of Corsican spring water as well as bath towels, shower gel and soap.
"Pullman" style armchairs are available in the lounge on Deck 8. This lounge is also equipped with showers and toilets and has individual luggage lockers nearby (you'll need a €1 coin to use them).
A friendly-sized ship
Piana is the largest ship in La Méridionale's fleet yet is still of a friendly size.
Signage makes it easy to know where you are and to find your cabin once on-board. You can also view the detailed plan of the ship prior to leaving.
Our staff is on hand to answer your questions and to help you:
- Our Captain and our Maitre d' are at your disposal at reception until the ship leaves.
- And, in the event of an emergency during the night, a duty officer can be reached via the phone located at reception.
