Embarquement des passagers à destination de la Corse du Sud

Boarding

Boarding

Pursuant to French Ministry for Ecological Transition and Inclusion directives, security checks for accessing ships are tightened and apply to all passengers. Follow our advice to board with total peace of mind on La Méridionale ferries to Corsica and Morocco.

Documents to present before boarding

To be able to board our ferries to Corsica, Morocco and Marseille, all passengers mentioned on the ticket must show valid proof of identity (French national ID card, passport, residence permit). This is also compulsory for children.

To make sure you have everything in order to board La Méridionale ferries, check our information page for documents required for Morocco and for Corsica.

A lack of proof of identity may lead to refusal to board

Good to know

Access to the various ports may be hindered due to heavy traffic during holiday periods and roadworks. Think ahead and give yourself more time to arrive so you can board with total peace of mind.

Foot passengers

Foot passengers should arrive for boarding:

  • At the latest one hour before departure for the Corsican routes
  • Between 2 and 7 hours before departure for the Marseille Tanger-Med route

You will access the ferry via a passageway reserved for foot passengers or by a shuttle service provided on-site.

Once on-board, head for reception to collect the pass to open your cabin. Our staff will tell you where the space you've booked is located (cabin or armchair).

Passengers with vehicles

Vehicles are boarded based on the ship's load requirements.

  • Passengers heading to the Island of Beauty must arrive for boarding in the passenger terminal at least 1 and a half hours before departure.
  • For Morocco, boarding opens 7 hours before the ferry leaves. You must arrive for check-in at least 2 hours before departure.

You must present your vehicle papers before boarding for your crossing to Corsica and to Morocco.

Once your vehicle is parked on the ship:

  1. Set your handbrake
  2. Engage a gear
  3. Make sure your vehicle lights are off
  4. Remember the space your vehicle is parked

Do not enable your vehicle alarm as it could be triggered at sea and drain your battery.
For safety and security reasons, access to the parking deck is forbidden once the ferry sets sail.
We advise you to take everything you need with you for the crossing (toiletries, clothes, books, chargers, medicines, etc.).

Groups

The entire group must be together for check-in formalities for our ferries to Corsica, Morocco and Marseille.
To make boarding easier, the group leader(s) should get in touch with a member of our staff as soon as the group arrives in the passenger terminal to proceed with check-in.

In the event of a delay in arriving, please contact the passenger terminal to find the best solution for you.

People with reduced mobility (PRM)

Our ships are equipped to accommodate people with reduced mobility (PRM). Please contact boarding staff as soon as you arrive to benefit from check-in assistance
If you are a PRM travelling to Morocco or Corsica with your vehicle, please make yourself known as soon as you arrive at the passenger terminal by turning on your vehicle hazard warning lights. With the agreement of a crew member, you may park your vehicle on a reserved space next to the lifts to reach ship reception easily, if your disability warrants this.

In any event, to travel with total peace of mind, please comply with instructions and guidelines issued by local authorities before your departure. Based on current events and the health situation, passengers may be required to comply with other formalities.
