Port of Porto-Vecchio: map and access
Are you travelling with La Méridionale from the port of Porto-Vecchio to Marseille? Our ships depart from the passenger terminal. Located between the Citadel and the salt marshes, it is accessible by car, by public transport and on foot from the town centre.
Access to the port of Porto-Vecchio for travellers
Passengers must arrive at the port of Porto-Vecchio for boarding:
- at the latest one hour before departure for foot passengers;
- at the latest one hour and a half before departure for vehicles.
Departure and boarding times are shown on your ticket. If you arrive late, you may be denied access to the boat at Porto-Vecchio.
Recommendations for boarding
In summer, some streets in the old town are closed to cars. In addition, heavy traffic and roadworks can make journey times longer than the rest of the year. Give yourself more time to travel to arrive at the port on time with total peace of mind.
In order to board, you must have a valid booking and proof of identity for each passenger, even minors, not forgetting your vehicle documents. Before you arrive at the port of Porto-Vecchio, make sure you have all the documents you need to go to Corsica.
Boarding with a pet
Our four-legged friends are welcome on the Porto-Vecchio–Marseille ferry. Like their owners, they need to appear on the booking.
Pets can travel either in their owner's vehicle or in the kennels. They are not allowed in the cabins or areas reserved for passengers, like the restaurant and snack bar. Only assistance dogs are allowed in those areas.

Itineraries to reach the port of Porto Vecchio
All year, a free electric shuttle connects the centre of the city of salt to the passenger terminal.
From Bastia
Allow at least two hours and a half to reach Porto-Vecchio and its port from Bastia.
- On the T10, head for Centre-ville (town centre)
- At the roundabout, take the Ports exit
- Continue on départementale 368
- After the marina, turn left
- Follow the road to the end of the dock
From Ajaccio, Propriano and Bonifacio
To take the ferry to Porto-Vecchio, allow on average:
- 2 hours 30 minutes from Ajaccio;
- 1 hour 30 minutes from Propriano;
- 30 minutes from Bonifacio.
Here is the itinerary to reach the boat in Porto-Vecchio:
- On the T10, head for Ports then Centre-Ville
- Stay in the right lane
- Once you reach the marina, turn right
- Drive along the seafront to the dock
