Traveller access to the port

Travellers should arrive at the passenger terminal at the latest:

• 1 hour before the ferry leaves for foot passengers;
• 1 and a half hours before the ferry leaves for passengers with a vehicle.

If you arrive late at the port of Ajaccio, access to the ship may be refused.

Tips for boarding

Access to the port of Ajaccio may be delayed due to roadworks or heavy traffic. Give yourself more time to travel to arrive at the port with total peace of mind.

To make sure you can get on-board, you must show your booking as well as proof of identity for each passenger, including minors.

If you leave the Island of Beauty with your car or your two-wheeler, you must also show your vehicle papers when boarding at the passenger terminal in Ajaccio.

Boarding with a pet

La Méridionale ships leaving and arriving in the port of Ajaccio welcome pets on-board.
They must be declared at the time of booking.

Cabins and other facilities on-board Piana, the Marseille to Ajaccio ferry, are exclusively reserved for passengers.
Dogs and cats are not permitted in these areas. During the crossing to/from Corsica, pets travel:

• in their owner's vehicle;
• or in our air-conditioned kennel.

If your pet travels in your vehicle, we advise you to place them in the passenger compartment, with the windows open for air. In the event of hot weather, it is advisable to book a place in the kennel.

The port of Ajaccio is located in the centre of the city. It can be accessed easily on foot or by bus from the city's main tourist sites.
